- 8 August - Riots spread outside of London to Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, etc. Sony warehouse in Enfield got burned down, which may affect UK deliveries (x). Major indie music stock centre burns down as well (x), rumours of a fund-raiser for the independent music business are already floating around the internet. Lots of reports of looting/fire in areas and no police/fireman in sight

- 9 August - Rumours/pictures of the London Eye burning are not true (x). Meanwhile Theresa May, home secretary, is coming under preasure to use water cannons for the first time on British mainland, something she has refused so far (x). David Cameron released a statement (x), and when he left the press asked “Have you lost control of events, prime minister?”. From his speech: there will be 16,000 police officers on the street of London tonight. The friendly football match between England and the Netherlands on Wednesday got cancelled (x). Movement has started in England to clean up after the looters (see: #riotcleanup)
